About this video: If you want to make Minecraft 1.19.3 run faster, this is the video for you! We show you all of the best settings for increasing performance and stopping lag in Minecraft 1.19.3
This is done using the Sodium mod. Sodium adds in additional video settings and optimizations for Minecraft 1.19.3 that increase performance and reduce lag. You must have Sodium 1.19.3 if you want to get the most performance possible from Minecraft.
It isn’t uncommon for Minecraft 1.19.3 to get well over 500 and even 1,000FPS in Minecraft 1.19.3 once Sodium is setup and properly configured. You can even combine Sodium with Iris Shaders to get hundreds of FPS while playing Minecraft with Shaders. So, without anymore delay, here is how to make Minecraft less laggy in 1.19.3!
First things first, you should install Sodium 1.19.3. We have a complete guide on how to do this linked in the description above.
Once you have Sodium, we can open up the Minecraft Launcher. Go to installations, hover over the Sodium 1.19.3 version.
Click the three dots that appear, and click edit. Finally, scroll down, click More Options, and add more RAM to Minecraft by changing the number after -XMX. I’d recommend at least 2GB of RAM with -XMX2G. However, changing this to -XMX4G can be good if you have at least 8GB of RAM on your PC.
Once you are in-game, go to Options, Video Settings, and you can then start configuring Sodium.
On the General tab, turn down the Render Distance all the way, turn off the Max shadow distance, Turn Simulation Distance all the way down, and make sure the max framerate is set to unlimited.
On the quality tab, everything need to be turned to fast or off. Particles should be set to minimal.
The performance tab is a bit different than the other tabs as everything on this tab should be enabled. The performance settings here is actually where a lot of the FPS boost with Sodium comes from.
In advanced, chunk update settings should be zero, and chunk render needs to be 3.
At this point, you can go into Minecraft 1.19.3 with Sodium and be confident that you have the best Sodium settings.
