If you want to play modded Minecraft with your friends in 1.19.3, you will need to make a modded Minecraft server. There are two main modded servers that you can create - Forge and Fabric. In this video, we show you how to host a Forge server in Minecraft 1.19.3. This is because Forge mods are usually more in-depth, and all of the most popular mods for Minecraft 1.19.3 are Forge mods. This means that most people who want to start a modded server want to use Forge.

First things first, we actually need to download Forge. You can find a link in the description above to our website. This is actually our text tutorial for getting Forge for single-player. Everyone who joins your server, including yourself, will need to have Forge installed in single-player and launch Minecraft with it, so be sure to share this tutorial with your friends you want to play modded Minecraft 1.19.3 with.

With that being said, on this page, click the download Forge button. Then, on the official Forge 1.19.3 download page, click the download installer button. On the next page, wait about 10 seconds, and click the ‘Skip’ button in the right. Forge 1.19.3 will start downloading.

Move the Installer you downloaded to your desktop. Then, create a new folder titled ‘Modded Minecraft Server 1.19.3’. Then, right-click on Forge, select open with, and click Java. Click okay. If it doesn’t or you don't have Java at all, you can download it from the links in the description above. You may also need to get the Jarfix.

With the Forge Installer open, first click install Client and click okay. This install’s Forge 1.19.3 in singleplayer. Then, open the installer again, click on ‘Installer server’. Then, click the three dots in the red box that appears and navigate to select the Modded Minecraft Server 1.19.3 folder you created. Click Ok, and all the 1.19.3 modded server files for a Forge server will start downloading.

Once all of these files are downloaded, open the folder you created and added the server files to. Double-click on the run.bat file found in this folder.

You will now have an eula.txt file though. Open this with notepad, and click EULA=false to EULA=true. Save the file, and double click the run.bat file again. Your modded Minecraft 1.19.3 Forge server will now start.

At this point, launch Minecraft 1.19.3 with the Forge installation, go to multiplayer and connect to your server with ‘localhost’ as the IP address. You will join it.

For your friends to join your server, they will need to port forward. You can find our complete guide on how to port forward in the description above. The port you need to forward is 25565 on the TCP and UDP protocols. Then, your friends will join with your public IP address

To add mods to your server, we have an in-depth guide on that in the description above as well. Just note that anyone who joins your server will need all of the mods that are installed on the server installed locally as well in order to join.

Nevertheless, that is how to host a modded Minecraft server in 1.19.3 in order to start playing modded Minecraft with your friends. If you have any questions about how to make a Forge server in 1.19.3, let us know in the comments.
