I'll show you how to stop any unwanted applications form automatically starting, and also show you how to enable apps you do want to start automatically, saving you time on apps you use every day!

Steps:

- Start by clicking the apple logo button at the top left of the screen and then opening system preferences.

- In system preferences, click on “User & Groups” .

- Select your current user account from the list.

- Click the ‘login items’ tab.

- This displays a list of apps that will launch on startup. If the ‘hide’ checkbox is enabled, the app will launch but you won't see it until you actually click the app yourself.

- To remove an app from startup, click it to highlight it and then click the ‘minus’ button. This will remove it from the login items list and it wont open on start up anymore.

- You can get any app to auto launch on startup, click the plus button and then choose the application you want.
