Here's my tutorial for modding Stardew Valley. I did what I could to cover everything, feel free to skip ahead if you need to. Hope this helps!
Steps:
1. Install Mod Drop ( https://www.moddrop.com/app/ )
2. Sign in
3. Install SMAPI (Top right corner)
4. Drag n Drop Mod from Nexus (https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley)
5. Start
Basically: Install ModDrop, open it, install SMAPI, drag and drop mods into ModDrop from Nexus, and Start the game.
