Hi, this video shows you a possible solution to prevent scratching the Nintendo Switch when using the Dock by using a USB-C Extension cable (male to female), the one in the video is 1m in length.
By using this method you can still output the Switch to the TV but you physically do not need to place it in the Dock. It is also useful if you want to hide your Dock behind the TV.
Beware of overheating when you place the Switch Tablet down to keep the air vents at the back free as this method has not be tested long term.
