Here is my easy 4 step guide to getting you set up to play PC VR Games wirelessly on the Oculus Quest 2, using Virtual Desktop. It's a great, easy, way to get your PCVR games running on your Oculus Quest , and you'll be up and running in no time at all.

The Oculus Quest 2 is a great wireless headset that gives you true freedom of movement when playing Quest games. However, PCVR games offer far better graphics and larger immersive games. You can play PC VR games using the Oculus Link cable, but that still tethers you to the PC. Virtual Desktop on the other hand allows you to get the best of both worlds, PCVR games running wirelessly, direct to your Oculus Quest headset!!

These steps work for the Quest 2 and the original Quest, so no matter which version you have, this will work for both.

VIRTUAL DESKTOP STEP-BY-STEP SET UP GUIDE
1. Install Virtual Desktop on Oculus Quest headset
2. Install Virtual Desktop Patch from SideQuest onto Quest headset
(As of version 1.20 of Virtual Desktop you no longer need to install this patch!)
3. Download VR Streamer app onto PC from vrdesktop.net
4. Run the VR Streamer app on the PC and add your Oculus Username to the app.

PLAY YOUR FIRST PC VR GAME
1. Connect PC and Quest to the same home network (preferably PC wired, and Quest over 5GHz).
2. Run VR Streamer App on the PC
3. Run the Virtual Desktop App on your Quest Headset.
4. Select a PCVR game from the menu in Virtual Desktop...and you're now playing your first PCVR game wirelessly! 😊
