WARNING - I will NOT be held responsible for any damages the methods shown in this video may cause to yours or someone else's hardware, including loss of use of such devices and/or loss of profits from the resulting inability to use such devices. Any information you choose to put into use from this video is done AT YOUR OWN RISK.
This video will show you how to play video files; how to play audio files (listed as music in the Xross Media Bar), and how to display pictures (listed as photos in the Xross Media Bar) from a USB Mass Storage Device such as a USB hard drive or a USB flash key, on your Sony PlayStation 3 (PS3).
This video addresses how to bypass the following error messages displayed when pressing the X button on your USB mass storage device in the XMB CrossBar:
There are no titles.
There are no tracks.
There are no images.
If you are certain that your video file(s), audio file(s) and or image file(s) have been copied over successfully to your removable USB storage medium, than your solution may be as simple as highlighting the desired category of file you wish to play back through navigating left and right in the Xross Media Bar operating system, highlighting the USB Device Drive, and then pressing the triangle button and selecting 'Display All'. Your video, audio, or image files should now be visible (dependent on which category you are viewing them under in the XMB CrossBar) and can be played by pressing the X button on the desired file.
