Any information or program you choose to put into use from this video is done AT YOUR OWN RISK. As a precaution, I recommend backing up any irrecoverable data before installing and using ANY new software(s), including those shown in this video.
This video will show you how to convert video files that you have either recorded yourself or that you have downloaded off of the Internet in order to play them natively (that is to say, without using any additional software or modifications) on your Sony PlayStation 3 (PS3) OR on your Android device (such as a smartphone or tablet). This is done completely free of charge and easily using an open-source freeware software by the name of VLC Media Player.
For PS3:
Once converted, your video files can either be burnt to a writable disc or copied over onto a removable storage device such as a USB hard drive or USB flash key in order to then be played on your Sony PlayStation 3 in the XrossMediaBar (XMB CrossBar) operating system (the operating system that comes shipped with your PlayStation 3).
For Android:
Once converted, your video files can either be transferred onto your device through USB cable or copied over onto the Micro SD card in order to then be played natively in the Android operating system (the operating system that comes shipped with your smartphone or tablet).
