How to use your webcam or EasyCAP DC60 to capture, record and save digital video to your PC for free
WARNING - I will NOT be held responsible for any damages the software(s) and methods shown in this video may cause to yours or someone else's computer, hardware, software, and/or data, including loss of use of such devices and/or loss of data and/or loss of profits from the resulting inability to use such devices and data. Any information or program you choose to put into use from this video is done AT YOUR OWN RISK. As a precaution, I recommend backing up any irrecoverable data before installing and using ANY new software(s), including those shown in this video.
This video will show you how to record digital video (such as home movies) using your webcam while saving the captured video to your Windows-based computer's hard drive, all completely free of charge and easily using open-source freeware software: VideoLan's VLC Media Player (available at http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ )
The methods shown in this video do not impose crippling restrictions such as watermarks or time-limited recordings, but rather allow full-resolution, unrestricted webcam video capture (or at least for as long as the size of your storage medium will permit). This video will also show you how to record audio along with your video and how to set resolution and frame rates (FPS).
Note that the VLC Media Player capture method shown in this video can also be used to capture video from an EasyCAP Easy CAPture USB 2.0 Video Adapter with Audio Model No.: DC60 device, which can be very useful for those who have lost access to or the ability to use the Ulead Video Studio 10.0 SE software that comes bundled with the EasyCAP DC60. Once at the 'Open Capture Device' portion of this video, ensure that 'USB 2.0 Grabber' is selected under 'Video Device Name' and then follow all remaining instructions as stated in the remainder of this video in order to capture video using VLC Media Player in conjunction with your EasyCAP DC60 device.
