How To Use D-Log M Format On DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro:
Step 1: Press and hold the power button until the Osmo Action 5 Pro camera turns on. Swipe left or right on the touchscreen to access the Video recording mode.
Alternatively, tap the mode icon and select "Video".
Step 2: Tap the Settings (two lines with dots icon) on the middle right side of the screen. You can also swipe down from the top and tap the Video Settings icon.
Step 3: Find and tap on the "Color" option. It should be set to "Normal 10bit" by default.
Step 4: Scroll down and select "D-Log M 10bit". This option is typically available only when recording in 10-bit video mode. Tap on "Confirm" to save the changes.
If it’s grayed out, check your resolution, frame rate, or video codec (H.265 recommended).

Choose a setting that supports 10-bit recording. For example 4K at 24/30/60 fps, 2.7K at 60 fps or 1080p at 120 fps (availability may vary).
Step 5: On the left side of the screen, select whether you want the color grading to be ON or OFF. Whatever option you choose, the video will be in Log (RAW) format. Tap on "Confirm" to save the changes.
Step 6: Once everything is set, press the Record button to start capturing your footage in D-Log M format.
D-Log M is DJI’s proprietary 10-bit logarithmic color profile. Unlike standard color profiles, it captures more data by flattening the image, preserving detail in shadows and highlights. This makes it perfect for color grading in post-production.
