Hello and welcome fellow gamers and viewers around the globe, you cannot deny that for a long time, trying to record gaming footage for youtube to express our passion for gaming to show others has been a real pain at times, after looking at MANY videos on youtube, NONE of them actually helped me with my problem and many were similar, which was no help what so ever But anyway here is my way of doing it, My little tutorial of how to actually get some recording going.

So it hit me as i pondered, why not try 1 last resort with it and go old school, and try the retro gaing recording method. It actually gave me the results i wanted and needed, very surprising to say the least, that even though i never do tutorials, it actually worked. But considering im awesome anyway, it has to be expected.

So i show you all how I record playstation 3 gameplay using the elgato HD 60, to get past the HDCP problem. I also use an Enko AV2HDMI Converter, you must have both of these if you are going to try my way, HDMI way does not work for me, and i refuse to buy any additional equipment, since not all of us actually want to do that and want a solution with what we have already at home to use.

The things you must have are these
Elgato HD60
3 HDMI Leads, 3 because in case you lose 1 or it may malfunction, but 3 just to be safe.
2 USB Leads to power the elgato and Enko, this is a MUST HAVE..
RCA Audio Video Cables, or as i call them the red white and yellow cables, that are a sony make,

You can purchase that off amazon if you do not own them cables.

So if this method works for you that is great, im pleased i could help in anyway what so ever. It might not do, it might do, but everybody has different computers and lives around in different countries.

It is a very simple set up,

You plug the RCA Audio cables from the ps3 into the AV2HDMI Converter red white and yellow ports, then you use a HDMI lead, plug that into the Av2HDMI Converter hdmi port, fthat lead will connect to the ELGATO HDMI Out port, make sure that you have both 2 usb leads plugged into the AV2HDMI and Elgato to provide power, the elgato usb lead goes into the PC, and any power source for the enko Av2HDMI USB Lead. And finally Another HDMI lead from the Elgato IN port, straight into the TV

Doctor Virtual is glad to of helped in anyway possible, you are welcome, and i hope it works for all of you. The only negative thing, is that the resolution on the TV will be downgraded alot, but if you can put up with that. Do your very best.
