The capture card I use in this video is a Diamond Multimedia VC500, but the setup should be generally the same for all capture cards. You can also use this same method for any console: Xbox, 360, PS3, Wii, Gamecube, NES, N64, and any system that uses RCA composite cables as an output to your TV.

PS3 and 360 do not normally come bundled with an RCA composite video cable. But you can buy an RCA composite cable from Gamestop that connects to a Wii, 360, or a PS3.

There are capture cards that record in higher quality formats, even up to HD, but the higher the quality the more expensive it is. And for youtube uploading, 480p does just fine.
