with another step-by-step tutorial
in today's video i'm going to show you
how you can recover your gmail account
if you've forgotten your details so
if you kind of think you've got a gmail
account but you can't remember what the
email address would be
or the password there is a way to
recover this
so what you need to do is come across to
gmail.com
and then you want to click onto this one
here use another
account i've got my digital tutor signed
in
and underneath the box where you enter
your email you will see
a link well um it actually says forgot
email
which is highlighted in blue and all you
need to do is go ahead and give that a
click
now when you signed up
and registered for gmail chances are you
would have had to put either a
phone number or a secondary
like a backup email address which is
going to be used if in this scenario
you've completely forgotten your
gmail google account details uh
they will be sent to your phone number
or recovery email
so what you need to do is if even if you
can't fully remember you might have some
idea of what that could be
so you want to go ahead and just pop
that in here
and then what it's going to do is ask
you for the name on your google account
to your first and last name
now you would put onto the
google gmail account
so what's going to happen it's going to
send
a verification code now i've put
my backup email i would have registered
with google
when when i signed up and created my
account
so i'm just going to click the send
button down here
and what it's going to do is actually
send a code through to my email address
i'm going to go across and grab the code
you can see it's come up with a little
pop-up here
because it was my hotmail um email
address
that was used as a backup so i'm going
to do is just go ahead
and open this email so i can get the
code

i'm just going to click that to open
that up
and there you go you can see they've
sent me the verification code which
is here i'm gonna do
is just copy that
what you can do is just write it down
make a note of it
and then enter it in here where it says
to enter your gate
click the next button down here
and what's going to happen it's actually
going to put up a list of
google accounts which are linked
to that email you know so so you would
have used that email
as a backup email um
you can see i've created a few google
gmail accounts
and when i would have created those
accounts i would have used my hotmail as
the backup address
which is why i've got quite a few come
up under that email
what you then need to do is after you
found the account
you were looking for give that a click
next is going to enter um after you've
entered your password which
you know to be fair if you've got an
email chancellor you've got your
password
so what you need to do is click down
here where it says forgot password
and if you've got a rough idea of what
the password
might have been then you can just go
ahead and
give that a try it doesn't have to be
exact
