Video Transcript:
By default, Apple displays a warning on your iPhone or iPad when you try to download an app that's larger than 200 megabytes in size using cellular data. This is especially annoying if you have an unlimited data plan and truly may not care. Thankfully, with the release of iOS 13 in late 2019, Apple makes it possible to remove this download size warning message. However, please be aware that if you remove this warning and you don't have an unlimited cellular data plan, you could run up your data usage faster than you think, which comes with the risk of incurring additional charges from your cellular provider.

Now let's walk through the steps to remove the iPhone or iPad app download size warning.

Step 1. Tap to launch the "Settings" app on your iPhone or iPad. The Settings screen appears.

Step 2. Tap "iTunes and App Store" in the Settings menu. The iTunes and App Store screen is displayed.

Step 3. Tap "App Downloads" in the Cellular Data section. The App Downloads screen appears. You'll see options for Always Allow, Allow If Over 200 MB, and Always Ask. Choosing Always Allow means that, as long as you're not roaming on your cellular data network, you won't receive a warning on your iPhone or iPad when you try to download an app larger than 200 megabytes. Choosing Ask If Over 200 MB means you'll receive a warning when you try to download apps larger than 200 megabytes using cellular data and you'll be asked if you want to continue. Finally, choosing Always Ask means you'll receive a prompt before all app downloads regardless of size when you'll be using your cellular data.

Step 4. Tap to place a check mark to the right of "Always Allow." Going forward, you'll no longer receive a prompt when choosing to download apps on your iPhone or iPad using cellular data, regardless of their size.
