In this video I'll show you how to turn on Facebook tag review to either review tags people add to your Facebook posts, or to review Facebook posts people tag you in. I'll focus on how to do this on an iPhone, iPad or Android device.

It can be extremely embarrassing to be tagged in a Facebook post you may not want some people on your Facebook friends list to see. Thankfully, Facebook lets you enable a tag review feature that lets you review tags that someone adds to one of your post, and also any posts you get tagged in. While this won't stop your name from being included in someone else's post, your Facebook account won't be linked and the post won't show up on your Facebook timeline.

Now let's walk through the steps to turn on Facebook tag review on an iPhone, iPad or Android device.

Step 1. Launch the Facebook app on your iPhone, iPad or Android device. You'll land on your Facebook home screen.

Step 2. Tap the "Menu" icon in the lower right corner of the screen. The Menu screen appears.

Step 3. Tap "Settings and Privacy" in the list of menu options to open a drop-down menu, and then tap "Settings." The Settings screen is displayed.

Step 4. Scroll down to the Privacy section, and then tap "Timeline and Tagging." The Timeline and Tagging screen appears.

Step 5. Locate the Review section on this screen. You'll see two options. The first option will be to review tags people add to your posts before the tags appear on Facebook, and the second option will be to review posts you're tagged in before the post appears on your Facebook timeline. Tap the option you want to turn on Facebook tag review for. In this example, I'll tap to review posts I'm tagged in before that post appears on my Facebook timeline. The Timeline Review screen appears.

Step 6. Tap the toggle that appears on the screen to the right of Timeline Review to turn on Facebook tag review for this type of tag. Going forward, you'll now be prompted to review tags people add to your Facebook posts, or to review Facebook posts people tag you in.
