As a precaution, I recommend backing up any irrecoverable data before installing and using ANY new software(s), including those shown in this video.

This video will show you how to restore Synaptics touchpad (mouse cursor) functionality on your eMachines or Acer netbook/laptop in Windows 7 if you have uninstalled the Launch Manager program and now your touchpad (mouse cursor) stopped working (no longer appears). In order to perform this fix, to temporarily have access to mouse cursor control, connect a USB mouse to your PC. The trick is NOT to reinstall the Dritek Launch Manager, but rather to reinstall the Synaptics touchpad driver, regardless if the Synaptics touchpad driver is already installed and still present on your PC. Overwrite the Synaptics touchpad driver installation using either the eMachines/Acer Recovery Management program (if it is still present on your PC); using the driver disc that you created from the eMachines/Acer Recovery Management program when you first got your PC, or by downloading the Synaptics touchpad driver SPECIFIC FOR YOUR MAKE AND MODEL OF PC as found on the eMachines/Acer support website. I encountered this issue on my eMachines eM350 netbook running Windows 7 and this fix worked for me on that hardware.
