How to Search for a Friend and Add them to Steam Account (Easy Tutorial)
4Adding friends on Steam is a straightforward process. Here are three methods you can use to search for friends and add them to your Steam account:
Using the Community Tab:
Open the Steam app and ensure you’re logged in.
Navigate to the Community tab.
In the Find People field, type in the specific user’s name you’re looking for.
Click Search.
Once you find the user, you can either click Add as Friend or Report1.
Through Your Friends List:
Hover over your profile name in the top-left corner of the Steam program.
Select Friends from the drop-down menu.
Look through your existing friends list.
If you find the specific user, click their name to visit their profile.
Recently Played With Tab:
If you’ve recently played with a specific Steam user, you can find them using the Recently Played With tab.
Open the Steam app and ensure you’re logged in.
Hover over your profile name and click Friends.
From the side menu, select Recently Played With.
