Set Mic as Default Recording Device:
Right-click on the speaker icon in the taskbar and select “Sounds.”
Go to the “Recording” tab.
Right-click on your mic and choose “Set as Default Device.”
Click on the “Advanced” tab and ensure “Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device” is checked.
Set Mic as Default Communication Device:
Still in the “Recording” tab, right-click on your mic and select “Set as Default Communication Device.”
Check Xbox App Settings:
Open the Xbox app and click the gear icon in the bottom left corner.
Navigate to “Settings” -- “Devices & streaming.”
Under “Audio,” ensure your mic is selected as the input device.
Reset the Xbox App:
Open the Xbox app, click the gear icon, and go to “Apps.”
Scroll down to the Xbox app, click on it, and choose “Advanced options.”
Click “Reset” to resolve any app-related issues.
Reinstall Audio Drivers:
If the problem persists, consider uninstalling and reinstalling your audio input drivers.
Remember to test your mic after each step to see if the issue is resolved. Hopefully, one of these steps will get your Xbox voice chat working properly!
