How to Set Youtube Video Resolution Permanently on App
7In this video, I'm going to show you how to set your YouTube video resolution permanently. So open up the YouTube app and find a video that you want to play. Then once you've started playing the video, you'll notice in the top right hand corner, there is a gear icon tap on the gear icon, tap on the top option which is quality.
You can see here that it is automatically set to 480p which can be very annoying because I usually increase the video resolution with most of my videos. So I'm going to show you how to set it by default. So tap into this, now tap on the blue writing and at the bottom where it says settings video quality preferences. Now we have a few options. So we have the video quality using your mobile network and we have the video quality on Wi-Fi. So I'm gonna select higher preferred quality for both of these. And then I'm going to come out of YouTube and open up the same video again, and it will show you that it has increased to the higher quality and that's it.
