2D-Link 2878AL ADSL/VDSL Configuration Step by Step:
Please follow the below steps to configure D-Link 2878AL modem
Establish a connection between the device and the router via network cable or Wi-Fi (default
WIFI password is simply written on the bottom of the router. If you turn the router over, you
should see a sticker, and one of the pieces of information should say something like “Wi-Fi
Password” or “WPA passcode.”)
Open a browser and type 192.168.1.1 in the address bar
You will be prompted to enter the administrator password which is found printed on the
backside of the modem
Click on the settings tab and select “internet”
Under WAN connection type choose ADSL from drop down list
From Service Number dropdown list select the correct option according to your DSP
o ATM_PPPOE_0_3 will determine the VPI/VCI as 0/35 (DSP Ogero)
o ATM_PPPOE_0_4 will determine the VPI/VCI as 8/35 (DSP GDS)
Scroll down and make sure connection is PPP0E then type ADSL username and password
Select PPP0E LLC as connection type then click Save button and wait 15 seconds until
configuration takes effect
To Change the Wi-Fi settings click on the setting tab and select Wireless
In SSID Name textbox type WIFI Name then Password of 2.4 and 5GHz (safest passwords are long
and contain at least 8 digits of mixed letters, number)
Once changes are done please click Save
