About this video: In this video, I show you exactly how to stream Minecraft on TwitchTV. From download OBS to, getting Minecraft ready for livestreaming, we cover everything that you need to know for Twitch streaming while playing Minecraft! Thus, let's go ahead and get you live on #Twitch!
First and foremost, we need to download #OBS. OBS stands for Open Broadcaster Software, and it is a completely free program that will allow you to stream #Minecraft to Twitch very easily. You can find the OBS download link the description above. Once you have OBS downloaded, you need to install it.
OBS installs just like any other program. Agree to the EULA, click next over and over again until you finally see OBS installing. Once the installation is complete, click 'finish', and OBS will open. The first time you open OBS, you will see a configuration wizard. If you don't click 'help' and choose 'auto-configuration. On this screen, choose 'streaming, recording is secondary'. OBS will now walk you through setting up streaming. It even sets your bitrate for you.
After you have gone through the configuration wizard, you need to open up Minecraft, and add a screen capture as a source in the bottom left of the screen. For your screen capture, select 'Minecraft'. You will then see Minecraft pop-up in your OBS window. Now, you are good to hit 'start streaming'. It really is that easy to stream Minecraft to TwitchTV.
