To switch from party chat to game chat on your Xbox Series X|S, follow these steps:

Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.
Select “Parties & chats.”

Scroll down to options and then choose “Switch to game chat.”
You’ll still be in the party, but you won’t hear anyone. You can switch back at any time. If you’re in a Discord voice channel, it will say “Discord” and the name of the voice channel. Select the channel and then choose “Disconnect” to switch over to game chat or to start or join an Xbox party chat
