How to Switch to Game Chat on PS4 Console From Party Chat (Party Settings)
1To switch to game chat on a PlayStation 4 (PS4) party, follow these steps:
Start by being in an active party chat session on your PS4. You can join or create a party chat by selecting the "Party" option from the main menu or quick menu.
Once you're in the party chat, you'll see a list of party members and a chat window.
On your controller, press and hold the PS button located in the middle.
A quick menu will appear on the screen. Scroll down to find the "Party" tab.
Select the "Party" tab by pressing the X button.
In the Party tab, you'll see various options. Look for the "Switch to Game Chat" option and select it by pressing the X button.
Confirm your selection when prompted by selecting "Switch" or "OK."
After you switch to game chat, you'll be able to communicate with players in the game using the in-game chat feature rather than the party chat.
