To switch from killstreaks to scorestreaks in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, you need to follow these steps:

Navigate to the Weapons tab on the main menu.
Select the Killstreaks section.
Press the R2 button (PlayStation) or RT button (Xbox) to switch to scorestreaks. On PC, you can simply click the button in the bottom-left corner. You can now see how many points you need to rack up per life to earn the streak. The points you earn now will go towards you streaks and can be activated in the game!
