This is how you detect if a player crafted something in Minecraft. This is a quick tutorial (1-5 minutes) on the mechanics behind it.
If you need to copy these:

/scoreboard objectives add (name) stat.craftItem.minecraft.(your crafted item id for example: diamond_leggings) (name of scoreboard)

/testfor @p[score_(name of scoreboard)=1,score_(name of scoreboard)_min=1]
