How to TRIM a Video Clip on PS5 & Make it Shorter (Best Method)
4There are two primary methods for trimming a video clip on your PS5: using the built-in Media Gallery editor for quick trims or using the more robust Share Factory Studio app for more advanced editing.
Method 1: Using the Built-in Media Gallery Editor (The Easiest Method)
This is the fastest and most straightforward way to shorten a video clip. It's perfect for quickly getting rid of the beginning or end of a clip before sharing it.
Open the Media Gallery: Press the PS button on your controller to open the Control Center. Navigate to the Media Gallery icon (it looks like a stack of pictures or a photo album).
Select a Video Clip: Find the video clip you want to trim and select it.
Enter the Editing Menu: While the video clip is playing in full-screen, press the Options button on your controller. A menu will appear on the right side of the screen.
Select "Trim": From the menu, select Trim.
Adjust the Trim Markers: The editing interface will appear. You will see markers for the start and end of the clip.
Use the L1 and R1 buttons to move the markers to the desired start and end points of the section you want to keep.
