How to Logout of 2nd Account on PS5 Console if Playing SplitScreen (Best Method)
2When you have a second user logged into your PS5, the most common reason for wanting to log them out is to switch to your own account or to free up the console. The "best method" is a quick and simple process directly from the console's user interface.
Method 1: Using the Control Center (Best Method)
This is the fastest and most convenient way to log out a second user.
Press the PS Button: On your controller, press the PlayStation button once to bring up the Control Center at the bottom of the screen.
Go to Your Profile Icon: Scroll to the far right of the Control Center. Your user profile picture will be the icon on the right side.
Select "Log Out": From the menu that appears, select the "Log Out" option.
This will sign you out of your current profile and take you to the main user selection screen, where you can choose a different account to log in with.
