Sticky Keys is a feature in Windows 11 that makes it easy for users with disabilities to use shortcuts by letting them click each key in conjunction rather than at the same time. While Sticky Keys is a great feature, it's all too easy to activate it on accident, which in most cases will result in your computer beeping at you without you knowing why. Thankfully, if you don't want to turn Sticky Keys completely off, one option is to just turn off the keyboard shortcut that launches the feature.
Now let's walk through the steps to turn off the keyboard shortcut for sticky keys in Windows 11.
Step 1. Navigate to the Windows 11 home screen, and then press the "Windows" and "I" keys at the same time. The Settings screen opens.
Step 2. Click "Accessibility" in the menu on the left side of the screen. Accessibility options are shown on the right side of the screen.
Step 3. Scroll down to the Interaction section, and then click "Keyboard." The Keyboard screen is displayed.
Step 4. Navigate to the Sticky, Filter, and Toggle Keys section, and then click "Sticky Keys." The Sticky Keys screen is shown.
Step 5. Click to turn off the toggle associated with Keyboard Shortcut for Sticky Keys. Going forward the sticky keys keyboard shortcut will no longer be active.
