To turn off closed captions on your Chromecast, follow these steps:

During Playback:
Start casting content to your Chromecast from an app (e.g., Netflix, YouTube, or Google TV).

On your casting device (phone, tablet, or computer), open the casting app and look for the Cast icon.
Tap the Cast icon, then select the Closed Captions or Subtitles option (often a speech bubble or "CC" icon).

Choose Off to disable closed captions.
Via Google TV Interface (for Chromecast with Google TV):
From the Chromecast home screen, go to Settings (gear icon in the top-right corner).

Select Display & Sound or System - Accessibility - Captions.
Set the Captions option to Off or toggle it off.

Through the Google Home App:
Open the Google Home app on your phone or tablet.
Select your Chromecast device.

Tap the Gear icon (Settings) - Accessibility - Captions.
