How to Turn Off the Safe Search Settings on iPhone (Settings and Web Browser)
To turn off Safe Search settings on your iPhone, you can modify settings both at the system level and within your web browser. Here’s how to do it:
1. Turn Off Safe Search in iPhone Settings (for content restrictions):
If your iPhone has any restrictions enabled that may be filtering content, follow these steps:
Open Settings: Go to the Settings app on your iPhone.
Go to Screen Time: Scroll down and tap on Screen Time.
Content & Privacy Restrictions: Tap on Content & Privacy Restrictions.
Content Restrictions:
Tap Content Restrictions.
Select Web Content.
Choose Unrestricted Access to disable any web content filtering that may be blocking explicit results.
2. Turn Off Safe Search in Web Browsers:
For Safari:
Open Safari: Launch the Safari browser.
Go to Google: Navigate to the Google homepage or search for anything.
Open Search Settings:
Scroll down to the bottom of the Google search page.
Tap Settings - Search Settings.
Turn Off SafeSearch:
In the SafeSearch Filters section, select Show explicit results.
Scroll down and tap Save to apply the changes.
For Google Chrome:
Open Chrome: Launch the Chrome browser on your iPhone.
Go to Google Settings:
Visit Google.com and tap the three dots in the bottom-right corner.
Scroll down and tap Settings.
Disable SafeSearch:
In Search Settings, uncheck the option for Turn on SafeSearch.
Tap Save.
