If you like a clean workspace and fewer wires in your life, Bluetooth devices are the way to go. You can connect a wide variety of wireless speakers, keyboards, gaming headsets, regular headphones or earbuds, controllers and more to your Windows 11 computer through Bluetooth. In this video I'll show you how to turn on Bluetooth on your Windows 11 computer and pair your devices. I'll also show you how to disconnect from a paired Bluetooth device, or remove it from your computer entirely.

First let's look at the steps to turn on Bluetooth on your Windows 11 computer and pair a device.

Step 1. Navigate to your Windows 11 home screen, and then press the "Windows" and "I" keys at the same time to open the Settings app.

Step 2. Click "Bluetooth and Devices" in the menu on the left side of the screen. The Bluetooth and Devices menu is shown on the right side of the screen.

Step 3. Click the toggle to the right of "Bluetooth" to turn in on if it isn't turned on already.

Step 4. Click "Add Device" in either location where the button is available. The Add a Device window pops up.

Step 5. Make sure the Bluetooth device you want to pair with your Windows 11 computer is in pairing mode, and then click "Bluetooth" in this menu. A list of detected Bluetooth devices is displayed, where you should see your device. If you don't see your device, close this window and repeat this process to try again. In this example I'll click "JBL Flip 5" to pair my Bluetooth speaker with my Windows 11 computer. The window changes to let you know that your device is now paired with your Windows 11 computer. You should now hear your computer's audio through your connected Bluetooth device.

Next let's walk through the steps to disconnect or remove a paired Bluetooth device from your Windows 11 computer.

Step 1. Press the "Windows" and "I" keys at the same time to navigate back to the Settings screen.

Step 2. Click "Bluetooth and Devices" in the menu on the left side of the screen. The Bluetooth and Devices menu is shown on the right side of the screen.

Step 3. Click "View More Devices." A full list of the Bluetooth devices connected to your Windows 11 computer is displayed.

Step 4. Find the Bluetooth device you want to either disconnect or remove, and then click the vertical ellipses to the right of it. A small menu opens.

Step 5. Click "Disconnect" if you want to disconnect a device but leave it paired with your Windows 11 computer. Or, you can click "Remove Device" to remove the Bluetooth device so it's no longer connected to your computer. If you want to use this Bluetooth device with your Windows 11 computer again, you'll need to go through the process to re-pair it.
