This video shows you the steps to update an older VMware Workstation version to the 15 Pro (15.5.0) new version in the Windows 10 operating system.

To upgrade the old version of VMware Workstation to the new version:

Step 1: First, run your VMware program and check the existing version in Help / About.

Step 2: When the new version of the program is released, you can download and upgrade the new version from Help / Software Updates.

Step 3: Now, click the Software Updates button and click Check for Updates from the window that opens to start checking the new version.

Step 4: At this stage, the VMware program will connect to the Update Servers and check if a new version is available.

Step 5: If a new version is available, the software will be downloaded to your computer over the Internet.

Step 6: Once the required files have downloaded, the VMware installation wizard will start.

Step 7: You must shut down VMware Workstation not to get receive an error.

Step 8: Accept the license agreement in the installation wizard, and then complete the installation after configuring the required settings.

Step 9: Restart your computer after installation so that the changes take effect.
