Arguably one of the single most powerful items in the game is your relic. It’s bestowed upon you at the beginning of your tale with little fanfare; however, and it’s pretty easy to miss that you can upgrade it. While relic fragments are unique to each relic you slot them into, relic upgrades increase the amount of times you can use your relic between resting at a stone and apply to all of the relics you acquire, regardless of which one is equipped.
In order to upgrade your relic you’ll need to visit Wallace the mystic in Ward 13. He can be located near the docs.
You’ll have to provide 1 Simulacrum, 10 Lumenite Crystals, and 1000 scrap.
You can easily find your first Simulacrum at Cass the scrap merchant for 1500 scrap. This will get you well on your way to upgrade your first Relic charge.
You’ll also find Simulacrum by defeating powerful enemies throughout the game and hidden in out of the way places. Once such example is this mini boss that can be located in the shed, outside the Morrow Sanatarium in Losom.
Scrounge up 1500 scrap from obliterating baddies, head to Wallace, and you can finally upgrade your relic.
