How to Upgrade Your Speeder in Star Wars Outlaws - Mechanic Quest Easy Guide
Welcome back to another video guide on how to upgrade your speeder in Star Wars Outlaws as part of The Mechanic quest!
After you finish the False Flag quest, Waka gives you a call, asking you to meet him in Mirogana market to chat about getting a new computer. But before you can dive into that, you'll need to upgrade your speeder, which kicks off a whole new quest. To start, head to Daruda Diner in Jaunta’s Hope and meet up with Danka’s contact.
When you get there, talk to the bartender about your speeder issues. She’ll point you to Selo Hovak, a famous speeder mechanic. The only catch is, no one has seen Selo around lately. She suggests heading to Kadua, a wind fishing settlement, to track down some of Selo’s friends.
So, pull up your map and fast travel to Mirogana for a quicker route. Once you're there, hop on your speeder and follow the waypoint to Kadua.
At Kadua, you'll spot two villagers working on a boat. Chat with the one you can interact with, and they’ll mention Selo is living on a cliff northeast of Jaunta’s Hope.
Open your map again and fast travel to Jaunta’s Hope. Then hop back on your speeder and follow me to where Selo is located.
When you find her, she’s busy on the back porch of her shop, welding something at her workbench. Go ahead and speak to her.
Selo agrees to mod your speeder, but she needs a special part first. Kay accepts, starting the Mechanic Expert Quest in Star Wars Outlaws.
Now it’s time to unlock Selo as an Expert, so let’s tackle her mission. Open your map, and you’ll see that Selo has marked an Imperial wind harvester northwest of Jaunta’s Hope. Your task? Steal an Atmospheric Accelerator.
Mount your speeder and follow the trail to the wind harvester. Once you arrive, Kay will ask Selo how to use the magnetic disruptors she gave you. Selo tells you to simply place them against the console to the left of the fan.
Head over to the console, hit the prompt to place the disruptors, and the fan will stop.
Ride your speeder under the propeller and down into the shaft. After a bit, the disruptors will fail, leaving Kay stuck behind a fan. Turn right into the tunnel leading to the propeller, then navigate the side tunnels.
Eventually, you’ll reach a long corridor with another fan blocking your way. You need to get past it, but it's spinning too fast. Dismount, cross under the bridge, and you’ll find an energy barrier.
Send Nix through the vent to push the button behind the barrier, unlocking the door and letting you inside.
Now, enter the vent and follow it until you reach a ladder that leads to a tunnel filled with fans. Keep going until you reach a bridge with two fans on the wall. These fans will be a major hurdle, turning on and off. If you get caught, you’ll be sent flying, so be careful.
Wait for the fans to stop, then dash across the bridge. Drop down to the platform ahead and notice a fan blocking your path. Shoot the node on the left-hand side to disable the fan, then jump across.
Once you land, head right, climb the wall, and jump up to the metal grate. Make your way across, then hop to another handhold. Move quickly here—when the fan turns off, drop down and continue.
You’ll land on a pipe with a hole in it. Drop through the hole to land inside the pipe, then head forward to find another hole which you can use to drop into the maintenance corridor below. When you land, you will find a tight hole between the nearby pipes you can squeeze through.
Then, follow the path to your right and climb the yellow grate on the wall ahead. Ascend the grate and then wait for the fan on your left to activate and turn off, before leaping over to it, climbing up and jumping to the handhold above.
Wait for the fan above you to activate and then deactivate, then jump up again, climbing up and to the left, then hopping over to the handhold to the left of the fan and dropping to the platform below it. Quickly search the path to your right when you land to find a locked crate you can use you data spike to hack it for some resources, then return to the platform.
Ahead of you, you’ll see a giant fan that’s permanently firing out wind. There are two nodes on the walls on either side of the fan. Shoot them both with your blaster to destroy them and turn the fan off.
Now, look up and you’ll see a grapple point above the fan. Latch onto it and swing past the fan to reach a walkway on the other side of the shaft.
Return to Selo, hand her the part, and you’ll complete her expert mission, unlocking the Speed Boost ability for your speeder. Now that we’re all set, it’s time to meet up with Waka and talk about that nav computer, kicking off The Wreck quest in Star Wars Outlaws.
