How To Set DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro as a Webcam On Mac:
Step 1: Turn on your DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro. Ensure the battery is adequately charged or connect it to a power source before-hand to avoid interruptions.
Step 2: Use the supplied USB-C to USB-C (or USB-C to USB-A) cable. to connect the DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro to your Mac or MacBook.
Open the latch on the camera, below the power button to access the USB-C port.
Step 3: Once connected, the camera should display a prompt asking for the type of USB connection. Quickly select “Webcam” when prompted.
Successful connection should be confirmed by the "Webcam 1080p30" at the bottom of the screen. You should now see your camera feed live in the preview window.
Step 4: Mount the camera securely where you would like on a tripod or accessory and open your video conferencing or streaming software (FaceTime, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, OBS, Skype, etc.).
On your Mac, you might receive a pop-up asking for permission to use the connected camera. Click "Allow".
Open System Settings -- Privacy & Security -- Camera, and ensure your video conferencing app (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet) is allowed to access the camera.
