You can find great tutorials on how to setup Moonlight/Sunshine on YouTube and elsewhere. This video is about how to use Mill Mouse with Moonlight for remote desktop and gaming.

TRANSCRIPTION | QUICK GUIDE:
To make the mouse pointer in Mill Mouse work for desktop usage you have to go into settings and tick the box that says Optimize mouse for remote desktop. Then make sure the Move Pointer feature is activated in Mill Mouse. If we don't do this the mouse will drift away by itself instead of following our gaze.

If you use the Xbox controller emulation in Mill Mouse then you can play games perfectly fine with these settings, just use the Shortcuts for the right joystick to control the camera. But mouse look will not work any good with these settings and you can't navigate menus with the mouse, you will need to use the Xbox controller Shortcuts for that. To make mouse look work we have to untick the box in the Moonlight settings labeled Optimize mouse for remote desktop. And then we must deactivate the Move Pointer function in Mill Mouse.

It's a question of personal taste and what game you play which camera control method feels best. What I definitely can say is that first person shooters and any situation where aiming is involved is better handled with mouse look.

I know it's a bit annoying having to exit out of the Moonlight session to switch between desktop mouse usage and mouse look in games. It would be nice to have a hotkey for that setting in Moonlight. Using the Xbox controller emulation means that I can have the mouse set to desktop usage all the time and skip using mouse look in games altogether. That's my solution for now.
