In our how to use MSI Afterburner video tutorial we walk you through configuring MSI Afterburner and using it to overclock your GPU as well as create a custom fan curve. We briefly look and Nvidia's OC Scanner which allows for a one-click overclock as well as how to overclock with MSI Afterburner yourself. When manually overclocking you want to bump the core clock in 25MHz increments and the memory clock in 50MHz increments until the system is no longer stable - graphics card artifacts or display driver crashing. If you encounter artifacts or crashing then back off on the clocks to the previous stable frequency and perform a 10 minute stress test with MSI Kombustor to ensure stability. Once you have found the overclock to be stable in MSI Kombustor, check further with a few games.
