How to use SideQuest on your Phone to sideload games to Oculus Quest 1 and 2 (no PC required)

In 60 seconds I show how to very easily sideload Oculus Quest 1 and 2 games using your android phone. Also you still need to activate developer mode on your quest prior to using the sidequest mobile app.

Step 1 on your android mobile phone go to sidequestvr.com then press the button on the top left and select get sidequest from the dropdown menu

Proceed to scroll down and click on the google play icon and then select install, once it is done installing hit open.

Now that the sidequest app is open on your screen you can plug your oculus quest 1 or 2 headset into your phone's charge port. Please wear the headset for this part as you will need to agree to USB debugging and possibly other prompts to connect to the phone.

We then click the wireless icon in the bottom left and select enable WIFI and agree to any prompts that appear on the headset or on your phone.

After this has been completed we can unplug the the cable from the phone and select connect and at the bottom of the screen it will say connected.

We can then go back to the main page and select games to install to the headset. I recommend this new commodore 64 app from Open PC Reviews.

We then click the option at the bottom with the arrow down and the line to see the progress of the installation after that is complete we can now go to the headset and in the top right select unknown sources and then a newly installed sidequest game is available to play.
