About this video: Windows 11 has a lot of amazing features when it comes to multitasking via split screen, and in this video, we go over exactly how to use split screen on Windows 11.
Why would you want to access Windows 11 split screen? Well, it is a great way to use two apps at one time. For example, you can have Google Chrome and a text editor open at the same time. However, you can also open up two windows in Google Chrome or another browser and use them side-by-side in order to use multiple web apps at the same time. Truthfully, the options are endless for Windows 11 split screen.
As far as how to split screen in Windows 11, the easiest way to use it is just to drag your window to the edge of the screen and release it. This will make it take up half of the screen. You can then select the app you want for the other half of the screen, and you are using Windows 11 split screen.
You can also drag and drop windows to the corners of your screen in order to open up four apps at the same time.
Windows 11 split screen features don’t end there, though. A new feature called snap windows was added in Windows 11., and this can be accessed by hovering over the maximize icon in the top right of your windows. A menu will appear that shows different layouts you can click to move windows to. For example, you can split your screen into thirds with different spacing.
If you don’t have snap view enabled, go to settings, system, multitasking, and enable the Snap Windows setting. You can also configure other settings here as well.
