About this video: One of the downsides of having a million things to do is that it is very easy to end up with 30 tabs open in Google Chrome without even realizing it. Next thing you know you are searching through tabs looking for the correct one.

Luckily, though, there is hope. You can group tabs in Google Chrome in order to organize them better. This unlocks a few features. You can color code grouped tabs in order to find them easier, you can minimize/hide all of the tabs in one click, and you can close them all at the same time as well. And that’s just a few of the features group tabs have in Google Chrome.

So how do you group tabs in Google Chrome? Well, it’s very easy. Just right-click on the tab you want to group and select ‘Add to New Group’. Name the group, and select the color, and you are done.

You can move tabs to the group by dragging and dropping them into it or by right-clicking the tab and selecting the group in the Add to Group drop-down.

You can also click on the name of the group, or the dot if there is no name, to hide all of the tabs in the group. Right-clicking this, gives you options to change the name and color, ungroup the tab, close the group, or create a new tab within the group. You can also rename a group by clicking on the group’s name.

And that’s how you group tabs in Google Chrome as well as how to start using grouped tabs in Google Chrome to manage your tabs better. If you enjoyed this short video on Google Chrome tab grouping, be sure to like and subscribe!
