About this video: Windows 11 is full of awesome features, but there are some features a lot of people don’t know about even though they are super useful. This video goes over three of those features in order to help you get started with Windows 11 features.
First off is universial media control. Just click on the action center in the bottom right next to the time and date. Then, right there, you will see controls for any media that is playing on your computer. Truthfully, this is one of the new additions to Windows 11 that I really enjoy. The entire action center has been redesigned in Windows 11 and is worth checking out.
The second is snap layouts. Hover over the maximize button, and you will see a bunch of different options to move your window to. This is great for multitasking with two apps or browser windows. You can also drag the window to the side or corner of your screen to snap it in place.
Lastly, let’s look at focus sessions. Just search for Focus sessions in the start menu, and open up the Clock app. Here, you will be able to set timers and monitor your work time. It even integrates with Microsoft To-Do and Spotify. There are third-party apps that can do this too, but it is nice to see Microsoft add something directly into Windows 11.
