There are few ways to install shaders, but in this video, we show you how to download and install Iris Shaders in Minecraft 1.19.3. Iris Shaders is an Optifine shaders alternative that when paired with Sodium as we do in this video will actually give you better performance than Optifine Shaders.
Why would you want to get Iris Shaders for 1.19.3? Well, performance aside, Iris Shaders usually updates a lot faster than Optifine Shaders. It also gives you all of the same amazing features that any other shaders mod gives you. This includes better lighting, ambiance, and more.
The first step of getting 1.19.3 Iris Shaders is actually downloading a shader pack. There are tons of different shader packs out there, but in the description above we have our list of the best 1.19.3 compatible shader packs. It doesn’t matter which one of these shader packs that you use, but it is worth noting that while 90% of shader packs are compatible with Iris, some are not. If that is the case and you do have issue with Iris Shaders, just try another shader pack.

Once you are there, scroll down and click the ‘Download Iris Shaders’ button. You will be taken to the official Iris Shaders download page. On this page, click the ‘Download Universal Jar’ button. The Iris Installer will start downloading. You may need to keep or save the file depending on your browser.
With Iris Shaders downloaded, right-click on the file you downloaded, select Open With, select Java, and click okay. If you don’t have Java, you will need to get from the link in the description above.
The Iris Shaders Installer should then open. Select that you want to install Iris + Sodium for version 1.19.3 and click Install. Iris Shaders for 1.19.3 will start downloading.
We next need to open up the Minecraft Launcher, select Iris by clicking the arrow next to the Play button, and clicking Play. Confirm you are playing modded Minecraft by clicking play again.
Once Iris Shaders 1.19.3 opens, go to Options, Video Settings, Shaders. Click the ‘Shaders Pack Folder’ button. Your shaderpacks folder will open. Drag-and-drop the shader pack you downloaded into this folder. When you go back to Minecraft, you will see your 1.19.3 shaders in the shaders menu.
