About this video: Windows 11 isn’t known to be the most efficient operating system out there, but we can change and configure things to give you the best results and make your computer as efficient as possible. We go over a few different things that you change in Windows in order to make it perform better with less lag.
First off, we need to change the apps that open on start-up. This is actually really is. Open up the task manager by searching for it in the start menu. Then, click on Start-Up. Here, you will see all of the apps that open on startup. Disable the ones that have no business opening like Microsoft Teams or Edge. The less you have opening on start-up the faster your Windows computer will be when you turn it on.
Next up, let’s change your power settings. Search for power settings and open it up. Then, you will want to change your settings to high-performance. Doing this will ensure that you are getting the most out of your computer’s hardware. It is worth noting thought that this will causing your laptop’s battery to drain more, so keep that in mind.
You probably have a lot of unneeded apps on your PC. These apps are doing more than just taking up hard drive space. In a lot of cases, they may also have background processes that will open without you even knowing it. Thus, be sure to go into Apps & Features and remove any apps that you haven’t used or don’t need.
Another quick win that will make your Windows 11 computer feel a lot faster is disabling animations and visual effects. Do this by going to settings and Personalization. Then, go to colors and turn off Transparency effects. Next, go to accessibility, visual effects, and turn off Transparency effects and animation effects here. This will make windows close and minimize quicker making your PC feel a lot faster.
Something we mention all the time on this channel is Storage Sense. In my opinion, this is one of the best Windows 11 features to keep your hard drive cleared out and thus keep your PC running smoother. Do this by going to Settings, System, Storage, and then turning on storage sense. From there, click on it to configure your recycle bin, downloads, and temporary files to be automatically deleted. This will now work in the background to keep your PC’s hard drive clean.
The last tip we are going to go over to increase your performance on Windows 11 is turning off Xbox Game Bar. Do this by going to Settings, Gaming, Xbox Game Bar. Turn this off right at the top. This will help your gaming performance specifically as your PC will no longer be running game bar while you are playing games.
Nevertheless, that is how to speed up your Windows 11 PC. If you have any questions about getting less lag on Windows 11, let us know in the comments. We will try our best to help you out. Otherwise, if we did help you get better performance on Windows 11, please give this video a thumbs up and subscribe if you haven’t already. Thanks in advance!
