How to Write Detective Fiction your audience can solve (Part 1)
Here's my series on detective fiction, or murder mysteries, where I look at the 5 ways I believe such stories can be created that the audience has the capacity to solve.
I don't go into noir, hard boiled, spy thrillers, or any other sub genres. I focus primarily on the golden age of detective fiction, a la Agatha Christie. (Primarily from her Poirot series.)
My first rule:
1. Focus on one detective, one protagonist, and, focus on one murderer, and one antagonist.
Essentially, you must keep it simple!
