Here we look at Deceptions.
Lies, Ruses, Red Herrings, Red Herring Twists, and Cornerstones.

Types of Lies (words):
Fabrications
Half Truths
Lies by Omission

Types of Ruses (behavior):
Acting as someone else, acting with a co-conspirator to fake a relationship, hiding or destroying evidence

When leading someone down the garden path, give the reader something important (a cornerstone clue!)

In a simple exercise, break down chapters into characters
Chapter 1: Intro
Chapter #: Character Analysis
Chapter sum(#)+1: Cornerstone Summary
Chapter sum(#)+2: Reveal

Good reading on what to do (and also a lot of what not to do. Christie is too clever for the average reader at times.)
