The X-step. We're all generally shown it when we begin our journey as disc golfers, yet so few people actually do it correctly. For decades, this sport has been saturated with a mixture of unclear, improper, and plain inaccurate information on how to use momentum to add power to a disc golf backhand.
This video attempts to address that issue, borrowing heavily from tech developed for The Method project. In this first segment, I discuss my own experience learning the X-step, from my first attempts at the footwork back in 2004 all the way up to recent breakthroughs. I discuss how to maintain critical balance positions throughout the X-step, and how to transfer that momentum into the disc. Future videos from chapter 2 of The Method will explain this further. Thanks for watching, and for your support!
