8-Bit Eric reviews Human Resource Machine for the Nintendo Switch. Human Resource Machine is a puzzle game. Machines are invading the city and guess what, they’re gunning for the jobs of those who work in your office building. You are in a room with tiles coming in through an inbox. To solve each puzzle, the player must compose a list of instructions from basic commands to control the movements of the protagonist on an overhead view of an office.

It is very easy to understand and handle, as writing code simply means dragging-and-dropping commands from a menu to a list, the player must compose a list of instructions from basic commands to control the movements of the protagonist on an overhead view of an office. You write computer commands and create a program that allows the employee to do his/her job. It is basically creating lines of code and seeing how the program comes together.

You don't have direct movement of your character, you just point and click or drag and drop your character thru each step of the code. Human Resource Machine uses touch screen controls and has Joy-Con support. If you are playing on the go, you can use the touchscreen to drag and drop commands at your leisure.

If the Switch is docked, you can use the joy con. The joy con works ok but I have experienced a little bit of synch issues. 39 levels in all and each level counts as another year the protagonist has been with the company. You move from simple problems to situations that involve placing multiple zero terminated strings in ascending order one after the other.

I personally didn’t have the patience to complete some of these puzzles. They can be quite challenging, unless you are into this type of stuff. There isn't a ton of variety, but the puzzles themselves are quite clever and keep you entertained for quite while.
