Humanity's Trash, Assemble! Wait, can we say that? - Starsector 0.95a - Let's Play #34 - Radiant
After all this time of building up colonies in Starsector, it's good to see that our patrol fleets are finally doing their part. The 0.95a update brought some economic challenges to be sure, but at the end of the day the same fuel continues to drive opposing factions: jealousy. They want what we have -- our slice of the economy. And now, before I even have a chance to engage, Humanity's Trash has risen up from...well, somewhere...and has said "we're not going to take it anymore." And before I can even get my main fleet into the fight, the AI has set off to save the day. Can I give an assist?
Starsector is a game where you get together a squad of spaceships and try to carve your own place out in the stars. Will you turn a profit from trade? Or how about shoot down some pirates to defend a fringe colony? Bounty hunting sound good, or how about becoming a pirate yourself and turning the tables? The galaxy is open to you, just be wary of any AI you might bump into along the way. Although this game is still in Alpha and in deep development, this is one of the greatest games I have ever played and I am very excited it won the viewer's choice selection. The mechanics are deep. The lore is interesting. And once you get your feet wet there are all sorts of mods out there to play with.
The only changes from vanilla is that I went into the settings and changed the maximum deployment points from 400 to 700 and to change the settings so the screen doesn't white out when I blow up a big ship.
