Hybris (Amiga) - A Playguide and Review - by LemonAmiga.com
Hybris is a top rated vertical SEU on the Amiga, perhaps second only to the games sequel: Battle Squadron. Lets see if I can get anywhere.

Version 3 Revision E
Although I said last week that I might be struggling to make a video for this week, as it turned out a client rescheduled her booking to the end of May so I had time to produce something after all.
This rip of Hybris happened to be recorded during my highest scoring run in the Lemon/EAB competition, and I am only disappointed I didn't activate the extended weapon at the end of the second level, as this would have made progress on level 3 so much easier.
Editing was started on the same day that I completed my Tilt C64 review, and took 4 sessions over 4 days; with the last day trying to fix the voice vs game soundtrack audio problems that sometimes bug my reviews. In the end I resisted the urge to boost my voice too highly over the sound effects to try to give this review a sense of action. The longest aspect to work on was the Comparison Zone; which took 1.5 sessions to get right before (and even after) I did the voice over. I don't know why, but I always say AEB instead of EAB; and have had to swap the letters over whenever I mention that name in all of my reviews. The other issue was I said I was on "level 3" upgrade when I was on level 2, so all the 3's had to be changed to 2's. The image sharpness was a compromise to try to maintain some smoothness. Apart from the volume balancing I think the review went very smoothly and I'm happy with the voice and delivery.
The final thing to be added (almost as an after thought) was the fact the player can press Space on the title screen to reveal all of the in-game tweak options. I didn't want to voice-over this part and there wasn't room for it anywhere else except as part of the intro; but I think it blended in very well. Of course this video was made using the standard settings.
