Here is a game that originally released in 2014 for the Wii U, and one of my all-time favourite games for that console, this is Hyrule Warriors. This game did get two re-releases, the first was Hyrule Warriors Legends for the 3DS in 2016, and then Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition for the Switch in 2018, and I will be playing through Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition for this playthrough.
This game has elements from the Dynasty Warriors games, while also having characters and areas from the Legend of Zelda series.
As for the story of the game, the evil forces attempt to invade Hyrule, while Zelda and Impa assemble the troops, and Link steps in to save Hyrule from the evil forces.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

In case you didn't know, Hyrule Warriors is one of my favourite games of all time, and this is the Nintendo Switch version, known as Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition, and this was originally released on the Wii U back in 2014, but future re-released added new content, and Definitive Edition is the complete version, as it has everything from the Wii U game and the 3DS game Hyrule Warriors Legends.
Now we get to the story, and after getting through a cutscene, we start the adventure as Link, a knight in training, and he befriends a Fairy named Proxi, her name is based on the word "Proxy", much like how Navi from Ocarina of Time was a play on "Navigator", so I do like how each Fairy has a name that is a play on these sorts of things.
This game is like the Dynasty Warriors series, where you have to take on an army on monsters, and you can perform different combo moves, in Link's case, he has different moves with his sword, and he does have his spin attack as well. Then we get into a boss fight with Volga, also known as the Dragon Knight, and he is quite easy at first, and when the enemy reveals their weak point, and when you attack them, you can reduce the gauge, and you can perform a Weak Point Smash, which is very powerful.
Once Volga is out of the way, the next task is to help out the Goron Captain, who is attacked by a Lizalfos, they are tougher than the Bokoblins, as these fire-breathing lizards shouldn't be too difficult to take down. Then enter the Mine Entrance where you can pick up some Bombs, which can be used to destroy rocks that can block your way.
Next up, Zelda and Link need to rendezvous, and you can switch between the two characters, which was a new addition to Hyrule Warriors Legends. Zelda has a special gauge, if you press X, she can use light-based attacks from her combos, but that will consume a light orb.
Next is to take both East Field Keep and Central Keep, and one thing to note is that the doors will be sealed off, and you can fight the Dark Wizard if you want, but I don't recommend doing so. After competing that task, have both Link and Zelda head to the Fairy Fountain, while you can control Impa in taking down the Lizalfos at the Mine Entrance, and some enemies can perform powerful attacks, and if you use an item, that will make them vulnerable, allowing you to attack their weak point so you can perform a Weak Point Smash, in that case, the Lizalfos will become vulnerable if you use a Bomb during their powerful attack. Lizalfos are weak to Water elemental attacks, and Impa's Giant Blade is a Water element weapon, so she should be able to take down the Lizalfos without too much difficulty.
When you arrive at the Great Fairy Fountain, you can activate the Great Fairy and destroy a horde of enemies at the northern part of the map. Then the Dark Wizard will unleash King Dodongo, the first Giant Boss in the game, and he is tough, but this is an easy boss. When King Dodongo opens his mouth and is about to unleash a powerful fireball, throw Bombs, which will make King Dodongo vulnerable, and then beat him down. King Dodongo is weak to Water element weapons, and once again this does give Impa the advantage.
Then for the Heart Container and Heart Piece, the Heart Container is at the northwestern Outpost, and you have to bomb a rock to get it, and you have to capture West Rockface Keep to get the Heart Piece, and only Link can get those two chests. To get the Gold Skulltula, you have to defeat 1000 enemies, and it is outside the southern side of Abandoned Fort.
After completing a map, you will earn some Materials from the enemies defeated, as well as some Weapons. You can also use Materials to unlock badges, which will improve your warriors, and in the base game, you would have unlocked Impa by completing this map, but in the Definitive Edition, all the base characters from the Wii U version are unlocked immediately, except for the DLC characters. Exclusive to Definitive Edition, you can unlock the Breath of the Wild costumes for Link and Zelda, and in Free Mode, you can revisit scenarios with whichever character you want.
